Details  

The North Canterbury Soroptimists Christmas Tree Festival is being held in the foyer of the Waimakariri District Council.  We are again sponsoring North Canterbury Big Brothers Big Sisters to decorate a tree.

This year all funds raised will go to North Canterbury Big Brothers Big Sisters, so go along to see the display and vote for the best tree with a gold coin donation.

Details   It's Christmas time and we are proud to be sponsoring Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury once again in the Soroptimist Christmas Tree Festival which starts today.

They won the competition last year with their Grinch christmas tree so we are hoping that they can do the same this year.  Proceeds are going to Plunket North Canterbury, so head along to the Waimakariri District Council foyer and cast a vote.  Gold coin donation and child are free.

Ron Williams Retires

Ron Williams Retires

Details   Ron Williams became a partner in Rhodes Fraser and Co in 1978. The firm later changed its name to Fraser Venning Crerar and then Crerar Williams. When David Crerar took up the position of Coroner in Dunedin in 2007, Tania McKenzie who had been with the firm since 1995 took over David’s share of the partnership. Ron and Tania have, together with a great team, ensured Williams McKenzie has remained a prominent law firm in the district.

More recently Ron had enjoyed a consulting role since retiring from day to day practice in 2018, allowing additional time to follow his passion for cycling and spending more time with his family.

We now take the opportunity to congratulate Ron on his full retirement from the business. He will be missed by everyone in the office and his long standing clients. Tania McKenzie will continue to lead the team.
Ron is still a Rangiora local so please give him a wave when he flies past on his bike or you catch him relaxing in the local cafes.

Details   Tania McKenzie is now a Notary Public after being appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury in England.
A Notary Public is a public official appointed to verify the authenticity of documentation and important transactions for use overseas.
