Christmas Tree Festival

Williams McKenzie sponsored and decorated a Christmas Tree which was displayed at the Waimakariri District Council to support people affected by the September earthquake in the Kaiapoi area.

Tania’s Japan trip – April 2010

Tania McKenzie recently returned from two weeks in Kurashiki, Japan (Sister City of Christchurch), supervising an exchange for disabled students. In alternate years one person with a physical disability and one person with an intellectual disability and their caregivers travel from Christchurch to Kurashiki or vice versa. Tania has been coordinating this worthwhile exchange since 2005.

Debating

Kathryn Lawry and Sonya de Vries have been judging some of the Inter-School Debates at Rangiora primary schools. Sonya most recently judged a debate at St Joseph’s School.
